Terms and Conditions

Last Updated: July 29, 2026

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Tru Vue Window Cleaning Inc. website and the services we provide. By accessing this website, requesting a quote, booking an appointment, or accepting service from us, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use our website or engage our services.

1. Definitions

  • “Tru Vue”, “we”, “us”, “our” means Tru Vue Window Cleaning Inc., a company registered in Ontario, Canada, with its office at 390 Edgeley Blvd., Unit 30, Vaughan, ON L4K 3Z6.
  • “Client”, “you”, “your” means the individual, business, property manager, condominium corporation, or other entity requesting or receiving services.
  • “Services” means window cleaning and related exterior maintenance work, including residential, commercial and high-rise window cleaning, eavestrough cleaning, solar panel cleaning, high level dusting, post-construction window cleaning, chemical window cleaning, and aerial lift services.
  • “Site” means the property or premises at which the Services are to be performed.

2. Services

Tru Vue provides professional window cleaning and exterior maintenance services throughout Toronto, the Greater Toronto Area, Barrie, and surrounding regions. The exact scope of work for any engagement is set out in the written quote, estimate, or work order accepted by the Client. Anything not expressly listed in that document is not included in the price.

We reserve the right to decline or discontinue any job where, in our professional judgement, the work cannot be carried out safely or to an acceptable standard.

3. Quotes and Estimates

  • Quotes are prepared based on the information provided by the Client and, where applicable, a site visit or photographs.
  • Quotes are valid for thirty (30) days from the date of issue unless stated otherwise.
  • Where actual site conditions differ materially from what was described or observed — for example additional windows, restricted access, heavier soiling than expected, mineral staining, construction residue, or additional height or equipment requirements — we will advise you before proceeding and provide a revised price. Work will not continue at additional cost without your approval.
  • Prices quoted are exclusive of applicable taxes unless expressly stated otherwise.

4. Booking, Scheduling and Weather

  • Appointment times are estimates. Traffic, equipment logistics, building access delays, and the duration of preceding jobs may affect arrival times. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of significant delays.
  • Exterior work is weather-dependent. We may postpone or reschedule work due to rain, snow, ice, high winds, lightning, extreme temperatures, or any other condition that makes the work unsafe or ineffective. Rescheduling for weather does not constitute a breach of these Terms and does not attract any penalty or compensation.
  • High-rise, rope access, swing stage, and aerial lift work is subject to additional wind speed and weather restrictions and may be halted at any point at the discretion of our crew or safety supervisor.
  • Recurring maintenance schedules continue until cancelled in writing by either party.

5. Site Access and Client Responsibilities

To allow us to complete the work safely and efficiently, the Client agrees to:

  • Provide clear and lawful access to the Site, including any keys, codes, fobs, loading dock access, elevator booking, or building permissions required
  • Provide access to an exterior water source and electrical outlet where these are needed for the work
  • Ensure vehicles, furniture, planters, décor, and other obstructions are moved away from the working area before our arrival
  • Secure pets and ensure children are kept clear of ladders, lifts, hoses, and working zones
  • Advise us in advance of any known hazards, including damaged glass, loose frames, unstable ground, fragile roofing, overhead power lines, alarm systems, or restricted areas
  • Ensure windows are closed before exterior cleaning begins
  • Obtain any strata, condominium board, landlord, or municipal approvals required for the work

If our crew arrives and the work cannot be carried out due to lack of access, unsafe conditions, or a failure to prepare the Site as described above, a call-out charge may apply.

6. Condition of Property and Pre-Existing Damage

Window cleaning is a cleaning service, not a restoration or repair service. The Client acknowledges that:

  • Some marks cannot be removed by standard cleaning. Hard water etching, mineral scale, oxidation, paint overspray, construction residue, adhesive, scratches, pitting, and failed or fogged sealed units are conditions of the glass itself and may remain visible after cleaning. Where such conditions can be improved, chemical or restorative treatment may be offered at additional cost with no guarantee of complete removal.
  • Older windows, seals, frames, screens, tracks, eavestroughs, and downspouts may be brittle or already damaged. We take reasonable care, but Tru Vue is not liable for damage arising from the pre-existing condition, age, or defective installation of any component.
  • Screens are cleaned and handled with care; however, screens with existing tears, warping, corrosion, or brittle frames may fail during removal or reinstallation.
  • Eavestrough cleaning removes debris and restores flow. It does not repair leaks, sagging, improper pitch, loose fasteners, or damage caused by prior neglect. Where we identify such issues, we will report them to you.
  • Solar panel cleaning is carried out using methods intended to protect panel surfaces and coatings. We are not responsible for reduced output, micro-cracks, or defects that existed before our attendance.

Any concern regarding damage allegedly caused by our work must be reported to us within forty-eight (48) hours of completion so it can be inspected while the circumstances can still be assessed.

7. Satisfaction and Re-Clean

We stand behind our work. If you are not satisfied with any part of the cleaning, notify us within forty-eight (48) hours of completion and we will return to address the affected areas at no additional charge.

This does not apply to soiling that occurs after our departure, including rain spotting, pollen, dust, construction activity, bird droppings, sprinkler overspray, or marks caused by pets or occupants, or to conditions described in Section 6 that cannot be removed by cleaning.

8. Payment

  • Payment is due upon completion of the work unless alternative terms have been agreed in writing. Commercial and contract accounts may be invoiced on agreed terms.
  • For larger projects, high-rise work, or jobs requiring equipment rental, a deposit may be required before work is scheduled.
  • Accepted payment methods will be confirmed at the time of booking or on your invoice.
  • Overdue accounts may be subject to interest and to reasonable costs of collection. We reserve the right to suspend scheduled or recurring service on accounts that are in arrears.
  • All prices are in Canadian dollars.

9. Cancellation and Rescheduling

  • Please provide at least twenty-four (24) hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment.
  • Cancellations made with less than twenty-four (24) hours’ notice, or situations where our crew is unable to access the Site on arrival, may be subject to a call-out charge.
  • Where specialised equipment such as a boom lift, scissor lift, spider lift, or swing stage has been booked for your job, late cancellation may also incur the non-refundable rental or mobilisation costs already committed.
  • Tru Vue may cancel or reschedule a booking due to weather, equipment failure, staffing, safety concerns, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control, without liability.

10. Safety, Insurance and Compliance

Tru Vue maintains liability insurance and workplace coverage as required for our operations in Ontario. Our crews are trained in working-at-height procedures, and all high-rise, rope access, and aerial lift work is performed in accordance with applicable occupational health and safety requirements. Certificates of insurance can be provided on request.

Our crews are instructed to stop work at any time they consider conditions unsafe. No instruction from a Client or building representative overrides that authority.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • Tru Vue’s total liability arising out of or in connection with the Services shall not exceed the amount paid by the Client for the specific job giving rise to the claim.
  • Tru Vue shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or economic losses, including loss of business, loss of revenue, or loss of opportunity.
  • Tru Vue shall not be liable for damage arising from pre-existing conditions, latent defects, improper installation, deferred maintenance, the age or deterioration of building components, or from hazards not disclosed by the Client.
  • Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

12. Photographs and Marketing

We may photograph completed work for quality control, training, insurance records, and promotional purposes. Publicly used images will not identify the property owner or disclose the exact address without permission. If you prefer that images of your property not be used publicly, notify us and we will comply.

13. Employment Applications

Information submitted through our careers or recruitment channels is used solely to assess suitability for employment with Tru Vue. Submitting an application does not create an offer or guarantee of employment.

15. Privacy

Personal information collected through our website and in the course of providing Services is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

16. Force Majeure

Tru Vue shall not be liable for any delay or failure to perform arising from causes beyond our reasonable control, including severe weather, natural disasters, fire, flood, power failure, labour disputes, equipment failure, supply shortages, public health measures, government restrictions, or building lockdowns.

17. Indemnity

The Client agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Tru Vue, its employees, and its subcontractors against claims, losses, and expenses arising from the Client’s breach of these Terms, from inaccurate or incomplete information provided to us, or from undisclosed hazards at the Site.

18. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any dispute arising from these Terms or from the Services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario.

19. Severability and Entire Agreement

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect. These Terms, together with the accepted quote or work order and our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between the Client and Tru Vue in relation to the Services, and supersede any prior discussions or representations.

20. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms at any time. The current version will always be published on this page with an updated date. The Terms in effect at the time your quote is accepted apply to that engagement.
