Markham is where a lot of York Region’s corporate office glass is. The Highway 404 and 407 corridor is lined with tech and head-office buildings, most of them mid-rise with glass curtain walls. Downtown Markham, around Enterprise Boulevard and Highway 7 and Warden, has added a cluster of condo towers on top of that. And then there is the rest of the city: Unionville, Cornell, Cathedraltown and Berczy Village, which are mostly houses.
Tru Vue has served Markham since 1993 from our shop in Concord, straight across Highway 7.
Corporate campuses care about how the building looks from the highway and from the lobby, and they usually want a fixed schedule written into the facilities budget. Most of these buildings are four to ten storeys. Some have roof anchors and are done by rope access or swing stage, and some do not and are done with an aerial lift. We check which before quoting, because it changes the price and the timeline more than anything else.
Interior atriums and lobby glass are common in these buildings too. Those are done after hours, often together with high-level dusting of the ledges and fixtures nobody can reach.
Unionville’s Main Street is heritage storefronts with small panes, wood frames and older glass, and it needs a gentler hand than a modern plaza. The large retail centres around Highway 7, Kennedy and Steeles are the opposite: big glass, heavy traffic, done early before doors open. Both are covered under our commercial window cleaning.
Markham houses from the last twenty years usually have a two-storey foyer or great room with windows that cannot be reached from inside. We clean those from the outside. Details are on our residential page, and eavestroughs can be done on the same visit in the fall.
Yes. Mid-rise office buildings along the 404 and 407 are cleaned using rope access, swing stages or aerial lifts, depending on the roof anchors and site access. Most are set up on a recurring schedule.
Commercial pricing is based on height, access method and the number of elevations. Residential pricing depends on the size of the house and whether interior glass is included. Tru Vue provides free written estimates.
Yes. Older storefronts with wood frames and small panes are cleaned by hand with care taken around the frames and older glass.
Yes. Condo towers around Enterprise Boulevard and Highway 7 are cleaned as high-rise work, usually arranged through the building’s property manager.
