Richmond Hill is mostly homes, and a lot of them. Bayview Hill, Jefferson, Oak Ridges and the streets around Lake Wilcox are full of large two-storey houses with big glass at the back and tall windows over the front door. Along Yonge Street and Highway 7 it changes: condo towers at Richmond Hill Centre, offices in the Beaver Creek business park by the 404, and plazas the whole length of Yonge.
We run Richmond Hill from our shop in Concord, about fifteen minutes away along Highway 7.
The newer subdivisions in Oak Ridges and Jefferson sit on the Oak Ridges Moraine, which is higher and more exposed than the rest of the city. Windows on those houses take more wind-blown dust in summer and more snow and road salt in winter than houses in the older south end. A spring and fall clean covers most of them. The spring visit clears the winter salt, and the fall visit is when most people add eavestrough cleaning.
Second-storey and foyer windows are the ones we get called for most, because they are the hardest to reach safely. We do those from outside. The rest of what a house visit includes is on our residential window cleaning page.
The Beaver Creek business park and the offices along Highway 7 and East Beaver Creek are mostly low and mid-rise buildings with a lot of glass. Many have no roof anchors, so the upper floors are done with an aerial lift. Ground-floor glass is on a commercial schedule set to how much foot traffic the building gets.
The cluster at Richmond Hill Centre keeps growing as transit expands there. Towers like these are high-rise jobs: rope access or swing stage, planned around the building’s anchors, and usually booked through the property manager.
Medical offices near Mackenzie Richmond Hill Hospital and on Yonge are scheduled around patient hours.
Yes, including Oak Ridges, Jefferson, Bayview Hill, Mill Pond and the Yonge Street and Highway 7 corridors. Tru Vue is based in Concord, about fifteen minutes away.
For homes, the price depends on the number of windows, the number of storeys and whether interior glass is included. Commercial pricing depends on height and access. Estimates are free.
Twice a year suits most homes: once in spring to clear winter salt and dust, and once in fall. Homes north of Major Mackenzie on the moraine often see more wind-blown dust and may need the exterior done more often.
Yes. Low and mid-rise office buildings without roof anchors are usually cleaned using an aerial lift, which we assess on site before quoting.
